Andy Klein was born near Cleveland, Ohio. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He then worked for awhile at some Bay Area startup companies before returning to Cornell to pursue a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at Supélec/LSS near Paris, France, he is now assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at WPI. His areas of interest are signal processing for wireless communication systems, cooperative networks, adaptive parameter estimation and equalization.
