BSA Troop 126
                                         Treasure Valley Probus Building

January 24-25, 1998

Troop 126 spent the weekend at Treasure Valley Scout Reservation
in Paxton, MA. We arrived shortly after noon. The hardy campers set
up their tents while the rest of the scouts (and a few dads) set up inside
the building. Afternoon and evening activities consisted of hiking, building a
camp fire (it was one of the best we have had!), eating, having snow ball fights,
and generally enjoying the weekend time.

                                                   Weather

Saturday afternoon was mild, calm, about 350 and quite soggy.
The lake was covered with about  6" of water on top of about 6-8" of ice.
Saturday evening was overcast, the wind picked up, and the temperature
dropped to about 200. Snow arrived overnight and by morning there was an
additional 2-4" of snow (actually, ice crystals) covering everything.
